Alexey Vyalkin, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, and Homan Razdar, Managing Director of the International Exhibitions Company of Islamic Republic of Iran under the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, have signed a cooperation agreement. In particular, the agreement states that the parties will support each other in participation of Russian and Iranian companies in exhibitions and fairs organised in Russia and Iran. The signing ceremony was held at Expocentre Fairgrounds. According to Alexey Vyalkin, signing of the agreement is the first result of the Russia-Iran Business Forum which took place at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on April 6, 2022. On the eve of the Forum a delegation of representatives of the Iranian exhibition business visited Expocentre Fairgrounds. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in exhibition and congress projects, as well as in attracting investment to the economies of the two countries. Alexey Vyalkin spoke about EXPOCENTRE's activities and the company's key projects. "We are glad that about 200 Iranian companies have taken part in our exhibitions over the last five years", he stressed. In turn, Homan Razdar declared his readiness to expand cooperation with EXPOCENTRE AO in a variety of areas, including the organisation of joint events in Russia and Iran aimed at promoting companies in both countries' markets. Nikolay Gusev, First Deputy General Director, and Sergey Selivanov, First Deputy General Director, as well as Irina Lyashchenko, Head of the Department of Hosted and Oversees Exhibitions, also took part in the meeting on behalf of EXPOCENTRE AO. From the Iranian side, the meeting was attended by Mahdi Zeigami, Member of the Board of Directors of the Iran International Exhibitions Company, and Alireza Jafari, President of the Eurasia Expo Organising Committee.
